Arcadis is excited to announce an opportunity within its US Pharma, Advanced Process Manufacturing Division ("APM"). We are looking for a highly experienced and inspirational leader to optimise the growth of the US Pharma business unit, in line with APM’s strategy and financial targets.
As BU Director for US Pharma, you will have full accountability for the BU priorities and strategy, the revenue, costs, profitability, and growth. You will collaborate closely with the BU Director for EU Pharma to maximise our combined global strategy footprint in Global Pharma. You will work with the Division BA Director and the wider APM Senior Leadership Team to prioritise key clients and services, develop account and growth plans, and drive innovation with new business models and revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities Implement the APM Strategy- Lead the business unit, service quality & delivery, and foster profitable growth within the unit.
- Recruit, set objectives, and review performance to develop a high‑performing team of senior specialists.
- Develop and implement the business plan, ensuring the team understands its role and the appropriate culture.
- Identify and target clients to drive organic revenue growth through service excellence.
- Create new, combined value propositions for clients, bringing all of Arcadis’ services into an expanded offering.
- Develop enduring relationships with clients to understand their needs and improve retention.
- Coach and mentor business directors and managers to ensure project success and governance adherence.
- Identify talent, promote career development, and direct individuals to appropriate development programmes.
- Make decisions on resource utilisation, maintaining unit integrity and optimum resource allocation.
- Identify and manage risk in service delivery, ensuring compliance with governance processes.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the market to spot key trends and opportunities.
- Develop relationships throughout Arcadis to foster cross‑sell and trade‑up opportunities.
- Relevant education and qualifications in engineering, business or a related area.
- Extensive knowledge of the global advanced manufacturing sector, including markets, clients, opportunities, trends, legislative and technological changes.
- Demonstrated experience leading and inspiring high‑performing teams, managing complex projects from concept design through validation, with value ranges of $500m+.
- Experience driving innovation, engaging clients on new business models and revenue streams, and working with alliances and ecosystems.
- Experience leading transformation initiatives.
