Responsibilities- The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities.
- Participates in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Education:
Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, and upon completion of first clinical rotation. - Certifications:
CPR.
