Retail Environment Security Officer

Schedule:

Thursday – Saturday | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (36 hours per week)

Pay Rate: $20.25 per hour

This position is located in a retail environment and involves standing for long periods, holding post, and performing physically strenuous tasks throughout the shift.

• Surveillance:
  Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned premises to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards.
• Access Control:
  Enforce access control policies, check identification, issue visitor passes, and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Emergency Response:
  Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents—including medical events, fire hazards, or criminal activity—and elevate to law enforcement when appropriate.
• Incident Reporting:
  Complete detailed, accurate incident reports documenting security or safety concerns.
• Patrolling:
  Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure entrances, perimeters, parking lots, and interior areas remain safe and secure.
• Customer Service:
  Greet and assist visitors or employees, answer questions, and maintain a professional and approachable demeanor.
• Safety Inspections:
  Look for fire risks, hazards, or other conditions that may compromise safety.
• Conflict Resolution:
  Address minor disturbances calmly and effectively using de-escalation techniques.
• Collaboration:
  
  Coordinate with other security staff, law enforcement, or emergency responders as needed.

• Excellent observational and de-escalation skills; able to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communicator; able to work effectively with both local and global security teams.
• Committed to ethical practices and strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Intermediate computer skills required.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Reliable communication and transportation.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
