Base Pay Range: $5,863.20 – $6,438.20 Bi-Weekly

Provides empathetic pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding the effective use of medications and drug interaction awareness. Offers preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcome services.

Ensures prescribed medications are compounded, reviewed, dispensed, and verified accurately according to regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.

Manages an efficient pharmacy workflow and improves pharmacy financials, manages inventory effectively, and enhances patient experience.

Manages pharmacy staff performance and engagement. Ensures professional development of pharmacy staff through training, coaching, and performance management.

• Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves patient issues in a timely manner and answers questions.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members.
• Connects with patients by anticipating needs and proactively offering services.
• Participates and assists in community events as requested.

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies.
• Manages staff scheduling, assigns roles, and oversees workflow.
• Maintains the Good Faith Dispensing policy and controlled substance laws compliance.
• Collaborates with Store Manager on strategic business opportunities.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems, inventory, and billing.
• Ensures accurate insurance claim processing and resolves payment issues.
• Follows up with medical providers on medication clarifications.
• Performs clinical and wellness services such as immunizations and diagnostic testing.
• Manages pharmacy maintenance, housekeeping, and equipment.
• Prepares required records, reports, and documentation.

• Collaborates with Store Manager on hiring, discipline, and compliance.
• Establishes expectations, goals, and promotes teamwork.
• Monitors staff improvements, implements reward programs, and conducts performance reviews.
• Identifies high-potential team members and collaborates on career progression.
• Addresses employee relations concerns and maintains morale.

• Maintains licensing, credentialing, and certification.
• Enhances knowledge through journals, Walgreens publications, and training.
• Completes education credits and required training modules.
• Seeks professional development via feedback and mentoring.

• Supports the Store Manager by communicating corporate health services to pharmacy staff.

• Analyzes performance data: financials, customer service, inventory.
• Manages asset protection and oversees inventory.
• Identifies performance trends and improvement opportunities.

• Develops relationships with local medical community.
• Promotes pharmacy business and wellness awareness in community.

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm
  
  D from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the district states.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become immunizer within 90 days.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience in prescription filling, recordkeeping, compliance, operations, technology, and insurance billing.
• Experience in prescription dispensing with knowledge of controlled substance laws.
• Average leadership rating of 3.0+ and no disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (internal only).

• Supervisory experience with pharmacy staff planning and direction.
• At least 6 months experience with Walgreens.
• Average leadership rating of 3.7+ (internal only).
