Home Depot Installation Services (HDIS) Sales Consultant

Base Pay Range: $40,000.00/yr – $/yr

A Sales Consultant is responsible for selling the Company's exterior and interior products and services to customers. The primary focus is outside sales visits to customer homes and trade shows. The role involves traveling, assessing customer needs, making tailored product recommendations, presenting warranty and financing options, and handling sales contracts.

• Travel and engage in outside sales activities in customers' homes, delivering professional sales presentations.
• Assess customer needs, develop price quotes, and measure product specifications.
• Present warranty and financing options, prepare appointments, and complete sales paperwork.
• Prospect new customers both inside and outside the assigned THD store, attend industry events, and maintain relationships with store management and associates.

• Reports to a Sales Manager.
• No direct reports.

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

• Mostly sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light items.

• Comfortable environment with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, or odors.
• Regular local travel required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Travel reimbursement available per state and federal law.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

• 3–5 years of prior in‑home or virtual sales experience.
• Prior home improvement industry experience.
• Experience generating leads successfully.
• Computer and application skills, including email, iPad, and apps.

• High school diploma and/or GED.

• Sales Consultants are expected to maintain 55 hours open calendar time per week to support customer appointments and prospecting.
