Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist (PRN) – Frankfort Regional Medical Center
The ultrasound technologist is responsible for performing a variety of complex specialized tasks using high‑frequency ultrasound waves to assist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities. This role requires performing imaging procedures ordered by physicians, documenting exams in Meditech, verifying images in PACS, maintaining quality controls, and conducting portable exams.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
- Ensure day‑to‑day activities for the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
- Perform surgery and portable exams.
- Accurately follow physician orders, document the completion of the exam in Meditech, document scans, and verify images in PACS.
- Follow proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
- Document patient history, including lab values.
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS registered or able to acquire registration within 6 months.
- Current BLS certification.
