Job SummaryThe Enterprise System Developer is responsible for the automation of business processes, creation of APIs, and development of custom reports for the University. This position maintains and supports the Ellucian Banner ERP System and its associated integrations, and develops new integrations and processes that automate business processes and help end users leverage technology. A strong understanding of the SDLC, business intelligence, and project management is required.
EssentialJob Functions
- Develop ERP process automation and API solutions using various programming languages.
- Develop reporting solutions using various reporting tools.
- Use knowledge of application tables and file structures to identify and solve system issues.
- Develop end‑user documentation and technical documentation on development and functional knowledge.
- Create project plans with detailed steps and estimates within project planning software.
- Work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Participate in continuous performance improvement meetings to improve processes and standards.
- Assist with maintaining and supporting Banner ERP system and its associated integrations.
- Collaborate with application vendors.
- Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
- Experience with relevant development tools, applications, and system architecture.
- Ability to prioritize well and work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
- Experience using common development practices.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of IT and computer science, including a variety of programming languages.
- Detail‑oriented with good written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a customer service attitude and willingness to work in a team‑oriented environment.
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort- Ability to continuously stand or walk.
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
- To be performed as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
