Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates to work in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
$12.00 to $15.00 per hour plus commission. The employee can earn up to 8% on transactions, adding an average of $1.29 per hour on top of the base rate.

- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise display.
- Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers in exterior areas such as parking lots.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

- Availability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer literacy and ability to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and office equipment.
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
Binding Arbitration AgreementEmployees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.
Pay rates will not fall below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
