Position: AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (UH-72A)-TITLE 32 with Security Clearance
Duties As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (UH-72A)-TITLE 32 (LUH-72), WG-8852-12, you will manage, monitor and perform overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework, servicing, inspections and documentation for highly technical, high performance UH-72A military aircraft. Perform work in complex conditions under time and/or mission constraints to include all weather and night operations. Train, coordinate, and oversee the work of Non-Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) aircraft mechanics.

Certify completion of maintenance tasks of non A&P mechanics and certifies the work of journey level workers in other trades working on the assigned aircraft. Certify aircraft as airworthy before being released for flight. Perform preflight, thru flight, and post-flight inspections and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Control and perform work assignments based upon priorities, workload availability of UH-72A parts, facilities, material and personnel.

Observe and inspect work performed by other UH-72A workers work to insure compliance with applicable technical publications, directives and local policy. Accomplish operational tests of aircraft systems and components. Maintain UH-72A aircraft under FAA and manufacturer guidelines. Track and record tasks for A&P aircraft mechanics as needed for those A&Ps to meet the requirements of Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 65.81.

Continuously assess skill level and proficiency of assigned personnel. Comply with safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations. Ensure material and equipment are properly and safely maintained and protected. May participate in operational flights as a crew member. Perform other duties as assigned. Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.

Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Must have an approved FAA Form 8610-2 Mechanic Airframe and Power Plant Airman Certificate

EXPERIENCE:

Must have 18 months experience installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.
