Level A Maintenance Lead Job Description
As a Level A Maintenance Lead, you will play a vital role in maintaining garbage trucks that service the Central Kentucky area. Your responsibilities will include performing service work such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and mechanical repairs on garbage truck equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling regular maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of the fleet.
Responsibilities- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements on garbage trucks.
- Conduct mechanical repairs on garbage truck equipment.
- Complete work orders efficiently and accurately.
- Schedule preventive maintenance (PMs) for regular truck upkeep.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
- 2-5 years of experience in diesel or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical skills, including auto repair.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical college or diesel mechanic certification (preferred).
- Willingness to learn and work with garbage trucks.

Work EnvironmentWork in a highly organized 5S environment with clean bays. Although the maintenance of garbage trucks can involve exposure to smelly and dirty conditions, the focus on cleanliness and orderliness ensures a professional workspace. Positions are located in Lexington.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
