Position focuses on product development, design control, problem-solving for design and process improvements, technical customer support, and project execution across sustaining and customization efforts. The role includes participation in technology transfer, design reviews, and continuous learning. Hybrid in-office/remote work is noted.

• Product development:
  Plan, implement, monitor and deliver designated tasks and deliverables. Focus areas include design control deliverables (design inputs, system and subsystem requirements and specifications, design verification plans, testing requests to R&D lab, statistical analysis of design verification results, design verification reports, executive summaries, design review inputs and minutes, defect records and investigations).
• Problem solving:
  Produce root cause analysis deliverables (e.g., Ishikawa diagram, 5 Why, Design of Experiment) and tracking for product design corrections and CAPA within quality management systems.
• Technical support to customers: present design history file evidence, educate customers about BD products, and provide guidance on testing or assembling BD devices with other components.
• Accountability: responsible for the success of assigned tasks and deliverables; participate in periodic design reviews for customization and sustaining projects; participate in design changes to improve performance, capacity, or cost.
• Technology transfer: participate in transitions from research to development to manufacturing.
• Process effectiveness: ensure appropriate processes are followed for timely engagement of related parties in project activities.
• Innovation and customer focus: provide technical solutions to difficult problems; understand customer needs to deliver relevant and innovative product development solutions.
• Continuous learning: actively seek training and disseminate technical lessons; promote learning within the team.

• Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field with two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In lieu of a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field with five (5) years of experience may be substituted.
• Demonstrated experience with:
  Pro-E or Solid Works, analytical modeling (finite element analysis), disciplined product development processes, regulatory and quality requirements, plastic design and injection molding, new product design, lean methodologies (Design for Six Sigma), statistical analysis (attribute/variable sampling, capability indicators, normality checks), and problem solving methodologies (root cause analysis tools and DMAIC/8D).
