KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience of around 10+ years with good understanding of basic networking and security concepts.
Experience designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise firewalls and services.
Demonstrated ability to document complex technical issues and effectively summarize issues for a broad audience of technical and business managers.
Experience with large corporate computing environments, including businesses with multiple sites/locations.
Experience with network capacity planning, disaster recovery, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer 7-8 (PCNSE7-8) certification preferred.
CCNP Security certified (or higher).
ROLE PURPOSE
To install, support and maintain the Palo Alto suite of products. The Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of security infrastructure systems and equipment. This position will be involved in both remote and on-site troubleshooting and support of complex Data Centre solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A high level of Palo Alto expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and customization of features.Thorough knowledge of Panorama, Wild Fire, Global Protect, and other Palo Alto features including and not limited to SSL decryption.Familiarity with Data Centre environment and hosted deployments/cloud.Provide support on client projects, including documentation design and installation rollouts.Provide support to project managers on security/network deployments.Responding to emergency situations and performing effective troubleshooting during production outages.Must have a good networking background and understanding.Experience of supporting clients remotely and face to face, along with experience of working with SIP providers.Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers.Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure & Azure cloud security.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be flexible to work outside of business hours as per business requirements.Maintain the client's security and networking devices and upgrade when necessary.Providing support for other engineers on Palo Alto equipment/software.Cross train in-house to share knowledge and share workload.SUPPORTED TECHNOLOGIESPalo Alto FirewallsCloud VPN, PrismaCisco ClientCisco ASAGigamonFireeyeF5 Load Balancers#J-18808-Ljbffr
