Chart’s principal focus is the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment; we call this “Cooler By Design”. We are problem solvers. Customers come to Chart with challenges, and our role is to figure them out from conceptual design to installation and commissioning  service diverse applications, from launching rockets into space to providing low‑carbon energy for vehicles, industries and communities, and preserving critical human and animal tissue.

Our equipment can also be found in fast‑food outlets where it supplies your carbonated beverages, or in nitro coffee and ice cream machines—everything is Chart technology.

The Production Manager position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products. It oversees day‑to‑day operations of the department, manages production processes and staff, and ensures Chart achieves key metrics around on‑time delivery, quality, safety and efficiencies.

What Will You Do?
  • Coordinate with customers to develop project plans and timelines
  • Hold daily and weekly customer update meetings
  • Manage production scheduling and coordination of activities within the group
  • Initiate inter‑departmental collaboration to meet production proficiency and quality objectives
  • Oversee production processes and guide personnel on plans, schedules and key metrics
  • Develop and implement process improvements and cost‑reduction initiatives
  • Provide leadership to achieve positive morale, production efficiencies, adherence to company policies, timelines and high quality and safety standards
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety guidelines, procedures and standards
  • Collaborate with Engineering on design, new product development, equipment specifications, appropriate documentation and submittal of NCRs
  • Investigate production issues and develop resolutions
  • Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluations, discipline, succession programs and retention
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Your Experience Should Be...
  • 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience
  • 8+ years of production/manufacturing process and technique experience
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience with JD Edwards (preferred) or other ERP systems
Your Education Should Be…
  • Bachelor’s degree or proven previous leadership experience within the Cryogenic Industry
  • Previous production leadership experience
  • Business Management or Project Management experience
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
  • Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
