Essential Function and Responsibilities

Assures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and follows safe work practices. Performs and assists with monthly mold PM's, Inspect and change water lines on mold and robot as needed, Pull mold plates and change out damaged tools (cores, cavities, splits, take out tubes, etc) in the mold, Pull hot runner plates and change out nozzle tips, Pull hot runner plates and clean and or replace seals, Change or add pre-mixers to feed throat of Husky and pumps on color carts, Work on inventory of mold parts, Weekly mold PM's, Start ups after mold changes and color changes, Perform color or additive changes as requested, Assist maintenance technicians as needed, Work with quality on flash issues and reset splits, Set up and work on part detection eyes on molds as needed, Perform weekly mold cleaning using dry ice machine and preferred methods, Backup to Machine Operators and Material Handlers, Train current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed, Conduct quality checks utilizing visual methods as well as quality control equipment as needed, GMP auditing /training, Assist with cleaning duties and rework activities as required, Maintains housekeeping of work areas, Perform all other tasks as directed by the shift, Lead or Supervisor, Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available.

Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid forklift certification, which meets OSHA requirements, is required to perform the essential duties of this job.
