The Registered Nurse is a professional Registered Nurse (RN) who assumes responsibility and accountability for providing safe, effective, quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence‑based practice. The Staff Nurse also provides leadership and supervision of the unit and employees. This person works collaboratively with all the members of the healthcare team. The Staff Nurse reports to the Charge / Head Nurse and/or Clinical Care Coordinator, assumes responsibility and accountability for the position's duties, and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Nursing Department.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. Is aware of the risk of exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and/or body fluids.
Education & Experience: Must have completed an approved Nursing Program and passed the RN NCLEX exam. Holds a current VI RN license.
Specific Requirements- Current BLS certification is required.
- NRP, ACLS, and PALS certification as required.
- Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.
