Job Title

DELI CLERK at Houchens Food Group

• Rotates, stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Prices all merchandise correctly according to departmental guidelines.
• Follows proper wrapping and packaging procedures, including the use of the correct size tray and plastic wrap or container.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• Operates all required tools and equipment safely, except when restricted due to age; follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans all deli‑bakery department tools and equipment.
• Follows the proper procedure for producing all bakery/deli products.
• Stands and/or walks at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
• Has the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Maintains a neat and clean work area.
• Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
• Performs all job functions with limited supervision.
• May be required to decorate cakes.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• Has the ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Can work in temperature extremes, including frozen foods and storage cooler maximum low temperature of
  -10 degrees.
• Orders product according to established guidelines in the absence of the deli manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
