Preschool Assistant Teacher – The Learning Experience Franklin

Location: The Learning Experience – Franklin, MA

Pay: $21–$22 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – Franklin is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our center provides a warm, nurturing, and play-based learning environment where preschoolers build confidence, curiosity, and foundational school-readiness skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Lead Preschool Teacher with daily classroom routines, activities, and supervision.
  • Help implement The Learning Experience’s age-appropriate curriculum, focusing on early literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and hands-on exploration.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children ages 3–4.
  • Assist with meals, playtime, circle time, classroom transitions, and toileting as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Communicate with families in a friendly, professional manner to support strong partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC childcare licensing requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting preferred.
  • Coursework or interest in Early Childhood Education (ECE) a plus.
  • Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about working with preschool-age children.
