Solutions Extended Day

Location:

- Washington K-2 School

Reports to:

Solutions Site Director

Terms of employment:
Monday
- Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM and 11:00 AM-6:00 PM on early release days

Salary: $18 per hour. This position qualifies for town benefits, including Health Insurance.

General Description:

Franklin Public Schools is seeking a Group Leader. The Group Leader is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Solutions after school program at their assigned site. The Group Leader ensures a safe and engaging environment for children.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and actively participate in program activities with students.
  • Assist with daily attendance and resolve attendance discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff to implement daily program components and activities.
  • Assist to maintain accurate and up-to-date program records with the support of Program Directors.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating educational materials and curriculum resources.
  • Assist in developing and submitting monthly curriculum and lesson plans by designated due dates.
  • Ensure all program areas remain clean, organized, and safe, including sweeping floors and sanitizing table surfaces.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and school personnel.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Google Apps a plus)
  • Must be 18 and have a High School Diploma

The Lifelong Learning Institute is the community education branch of the Franklin Public Schools in Franklin, MA. Lifelong Learning provides educational experiences for Franklin residents (and those from surrounding towns) from pre-school through retirement and beyond. This all-encompassing mission is accomplished through the efforts of dedicated employees of the Franklin Public Schools, and is supplemented with the talents of a number of our "friends in education" who partner and collaborate with us.
