Location:
iAutomation, 9 Forge Parkway, Franklin Town, MA 02038, USA
- Perform validation and acceptance testing of electrical control panels in a manufacturing environment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Working knowledge of electrical control panels and wiring; troubleshoot and repair defects.
- Occasional travel to customer locations including overnight stays.
- Interface with Panel Designers and System Engineers.
- Visual inspection and validate workmanship of completed panel assemblies.
- Point to point wiring validation;
Power Up (line voltages up to 480 VAC 3PH). - PLC program uploads; interconnecting field devices such as motors, sensors, switches.
- Perform system tests to validate correct device and system functions.
- Photo documentation of finished panel; mark-up of engineering drawings (red-lines) to as-built; preparation of engineering change orders.
- Document test findings; write and update test procedures; provide manufacturing support as required.
- Understanding of basic electric theory and functionality of electrical components.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs; operate pallet jack as needed.
- Technical skills:
Proficient in Excel, Word, PDF creation, digital camera operation, and cloud-based file storage.
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in electrical testing in a manufacturing environment with a preference in testing electrical control panels.
- Familiarity with UL508A and IPC A620 preferred.
- Experience using standard tools for testing, including multimeters, oscilloscope, etc.
- Requires a thorough understanding/training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds.
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
