Senior Banker I – Middlesex Savings Bank

Senior Banker I represents Middlesex Savings Bank to the public and colleagues, promoting the Bank's core values and mission. The role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience, operational excellence, and teamwork while supporting the bank's strategic goals.

• Customer Experience – Develops an understanding of customers’ needs and offers products and services that meet those needs. Builds new business, nurtures relationships, and supports branch supervisors to deliver the best customer experience. Proficient in tasks such as home equity closings, basic wire approvals, lost bank checks, service recovery, fraud claim processing, and complex business accounts.
• Operational Excellence – Ensures quality and accuracy of work, demonstrates technical knowledge of Bank products, performs branch settlement, recycler troubleshooting, and opening/closing duties. Stays informed on alerts and complies with all security, risk, and regulatory protocols.
• Teamwork – Actively participates in the branch team, supports supervisors in implementing policies, and serves as a resource for teammates, fostering a positive work environment.
• Credibility – Manages time and priorities, communicates clearly, and supports strategic goals. May act in the absence of a Senior Banker II/III or Assistant Branch Manager, performing branch leadership duties as needed.
• Decision Making – Makes consistent decisions aligned with bank values, draws on experience to recommend solutions, and actively identifies and prevents fraud.
• Miscellaneous – Assists branch management with facility care, provides high‑level service, and performs other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Some college coursework (preferred)

• At least 18 months of banker experience or a similar customer‑service role within banking.

• Basic math skills for routine calculations.
• Strong customer service, sales, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Intermediate technology skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work extended and weekend hours, with scheduling flexibility.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and stand for extended periods while lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Must obtain Notary Public designation within 6 months (required).

From: $41,097 To: $62,682. The salary reflects the fair market value for this role at the time of posting and may adjust based on experience, certifications, qualifications, internal equity, and market data.
