Position: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

About the Role

Arbour Counseling Services is currently seeking a Full Time Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who is passionate about a career in a high-demand, high-reward area of healthcare for our clients at our Franklin location for Children, Adolescents & Adults.

Pay:
Starting at $75.00/hour.

Schedule:

Full Time.

Provides advanced practice nursing support for patients in the psychiatric outpatient and/or partial hospital program through working with the treatment team and identifying patient treatment needs, medication assessments and adjustments, and utilization review support as needed. The provider is responsible, in conjunction with the Program Director, for planning, implementation, and evaluation, so that quality medical/psychiatric care is provided for all patients.

Responsibilities

Calls for providing services to assigned patients, seeking input from Program Physician, Clinic Director, and CEO, participating in treatment planning, gathering necessary information from patients, monitoring medication management including prescribing, dictating patient information in a timely manner, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the agency and community.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates competency in providing services to assigned patients.
  • Seeks and incorporates input from Program Physician, Clinic Director, and CEO, as well as other treatment providers, to identify intensity of services to be provided.
  • Participates in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Gathers necessary information from patients, so that an effective and appropriate nursing care plan will be implemented.
  • Monitors medication management including prescribing.
  • Dictates patient information in a timely manner.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources.

Qualifications
  • 1 year (Preferred) of working with a variety of psychiatric disorders
  • Must have prior experience working with children
  • ANCC/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified
  • Active Massachusetts APRN
  • Ability to prescribe Suboxone preferred
  • DEA registration with Schedule III authority preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience in buprenorphine prescribing preferred, but willing to train
  • Requires minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with professionals and clients/families
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations or with unpredictable or violent clients
  • Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
