CNC Milling Machinist

Position type:
Hourly.

Shift: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

• Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and interpret GD&T.
• Operate computer‑controlled lathe and/or milling machinery, set up, and program editing to produce advanced routine/nonroutine parts and components.
• Perform machining operations on CNC milling machines, including multiple setups, in‑place machining of fixtures, and debugging first‑run programs.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool‑length offset equipment.
• Perform work‑piece in‑process inspection by checking accuracy against blueprints/specifications using advanced gaging techniques.
• Collaborate with machinists, planners, programmers, and engineers to evaluate needs, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions.
• Other duties as required.

• High School diploma or GED; 5 to 7 years of machining experience in a manufacturing production environment.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC machine concepts, practices, and procedures, including editing computer‑aided software and applications.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• High proficiency in reading and interpreting machining and fabrication drawings.
• Solid math, geometry, and trigonometry skills and understanding GD&T.
• Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork ability.
