Overview

Maintenance Technician – Franklin, MA. HiFyve is hiring a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in Franklin, MA. Pay: $29.00-$33.00/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential.

Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (rotating schedule).

Position Summary We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance across the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using proper tools and testing equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
  • Support operators with basic troubleshooting to reduce downtime
  • Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and repairs accurately
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and other departments on equipment status
  • Follow all company safety and maintenance procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical training preferred
  • 2-4 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding/fabrication, or refrigeration systems preferred
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic meters safely
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and maintenance systems)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
Preferred Skills
  • Technical certification in electrical or mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
  • Organized, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
