2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Perform electrical maintenance tasks on plant utility and process infrastructure. Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, electrical components, and electronic components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. Work with limited supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments. Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.

• Program, troubleshoot, and operate programmable controllers, distributive control, and interlocking systems.
• Install equipment for new electrical services (120 V, 240 V, and 480 V, three phases), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contractors, relays, times, and controls.
• Perform work on onsite automation system to the component level, including components that require 0–10‑volt signal or 4‑20 mA signal repair.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair; install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed components.
• Work on electrical equipment including but not limited to frequency drives (VFDs), contractors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor‑control centers, and motors.
• Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict production efficiency.
• Stay current on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.
• Utilize a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Exhibit the ability to anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performance.
• Perform and assist in all operations maintenance activities in accordance with national, state, and local electrical codes.
• Use a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) to record and access maintenance‑related information.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and comply with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work consistently with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from trade school or technical school in a related discipline preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and automation system maintenance experience.
• Certification and/or license: electrician journeyman license or other location‑specific electrician license; master electrician preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge and application of national, state, local building codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations pertaining to electrical work.
• Able to use standard hand and power tools and equipment used in electrical maintenance activities.
• Able to use ladders and scaffolding safely and efficiently.
• Able to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
• Able to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment downtime.
