As an employee-owned company, they share their success through an ESOP, annual profit sharing that has paid out every year for more than a decade, and a year-end bonus. With decades in business and a field team that's growing fast, this is a long-term home for a foreman who takes pride in quality work and building strong crews.

What You'll Do as the Foreman Pipefitter:

  • Read and interpret work scopes, engineered drawings, and P&IDs to plan work procedures and build methods
  • Plan and sequence daily work, manpower, materials, and tools to keep projects on schedule
  • Fabricate and install piping systems and equipment to specifications using grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed, and welded connections
  • Apply the codes and standards that govern mechanical, process, and petroleum piping
  • Set the tone for jobsite safety and make sure crews follow company and site safety standards
  • Inspect your crew's work for quality and accuracy, and resolve field issues as they come up
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, other trades, and customers to keep work moving
  • Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices on technique, safety, and quality
  • Work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet customer installation schedules

Must-Haves as the Foreman Pipefitter:

  • Active Massachusetts Journeyman Pipefitter license
  • Proven experience leading pipe fitting crews as a Foreman or Lead Journeyman on commercial, mechanical, or process projects
  • A full range of mechanical knowledge, with hands-on ability to fabricate and install piping and equipment per drawings and P&IDs
  • Proficiency with grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed, and welded pipe connections
  • Working knowledge of the codes and standards for mechanical, process, and petroleum piping
  • Strong safety leadership and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication skills, a team-first attitude, and a strong customer-service focus
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed
  • Comfort with email and smartphone tools

  • Current or past welding certifications
  • Process, hygienic, or petroleum piping experience
  • Experience on healthcare, education, or government facility projects
  • Vocational school training in pipe fitting or mechanical trades

Our Client Offers:

  • Hourly pay of $50-$65, depending on experience
  • Employee stock ownership (ESOP) with a five-year vesting schedule
  • Annual profit sharing, paid out every year for more than a decade
  • Discretionary year-end bonus based on company profits, typically paid in February or March
  • Overtime opportunities, plus occasional prevailing wage work on public sector projects
  • Medical coverage through Harvard Pilgrim with 60% of premiums paid by the company, plus dental and vision
  • Short-term disability and company-paid life insurance, with optional additional life and other voluntary coverage
  • A leadership role on a diverse portfolio of mechanical, process, and petroleum work
