Position SummaryThe Fabrication Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the production schedule for the fabrication department. This role ensures that materials, labor, and equipment are efficiently allocated to meet customer demand, production targets, and delivery timelines. The scheduler collaborates closely with extrusion, shipping, engineering, and quality teams to drive on‑time delivery and maximize throughput.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the master production schedule for fabrication operations based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Coordinate with extrusion and production teams to ensure schedule feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.
- Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to optimize resource utilization.
- Generate and distribute daily/weekly production schedules and work orders.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to plan around equipment downtime and upgrades.
- Track and report key scheduling metrics such as schedule adherence, lead times, and throughput.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, planning, and production efficiency.
- Maintain ERP/MRP system data integrity related to scheduling and production planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and material flow.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., EPICS, Job Boss, and SAP).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with aluminum extrusion or metal fabrication processes.
- Advanced Excel skills or experience with scheduling software/tools.
