Quality Engineer II

• Review manufacturing processes and specifications to ensure contract compliance
• Interface with other departmental personnel such as manufacturing, quality verification, Supplier Quality and engineering
• Establish quality procedures, processes, and acceptance standards
• Perform build and quality problem solving using Practical Problem Solving and Lean Six Sigma methods
• Manage containment to permanent resolution for supplier and engineering non‑conformances
• Lead and manage Quality System changes supporting new model and engineering change
• Leadership and support for Quality Plan Deployment, Integrated Product Team (IPT), Product Development Teams (PDT), Engineering Change Notice (ECN), Engineering‑Try‑Out and Production‑Trial‑Run review and approval for current and new products

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related technical field
• ASQ certification is a plus
• 5+ years’ experience in Automotive, Defense or manufacturing related field preferred
• Experience with ISO 9001, TS‑16949 preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint, Excel, and Access

• Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate

  This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises

  This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
