Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with critical care experience

License: Valid Respiratory Care License in Ohio

Certifications: Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC; BLS and ACLS certifications

Must-Have:

• Ability to analyze, prioritize, and evaluate patient needs efficiently.
• Ability to assess, recommend, implement, and modify respiratory care procedures by protocol or physician order.
• Competence in initiating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and weaning patients from various respiratory equipment, such as mechanical ventilation and BiPAP.
• Ability to complete all clinical and didactic yearly competencies for assigned clinical areas.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to educate staff, physicians, and patients regarding disease processes, treatments, and medications.

Description:

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to work in the Respiratory Care Services.

This role focuses on adult care areas within a 24/7 department.

The therapist will interface with medical staff, nursing, and other allied health practitioners, as well as patients and their families.

Responsibilities include analyzing patient needs and delivering effective respiratory care.

The therapist should be skilled in managing respiratory equipment and have a solid understanding of treatment procedures.

Participation in educational activities for staff and patients is expected.

Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and holiday.
