Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Atlas Roofing Corporation – Franklin, OH

• Responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, modifying, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facility.
• Follow all plant and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Inspect, dismantle, repair, replace, install, clean and assemble as necessary to maintain equipment/buildings.
• Communicate information to maintenance supervision and engineering to assist in analyzing equipment or for making equipment modifications.
• Perform pipe installations and repairs in various pipelines.
• Interpret blueprints for equipment information and installation.
• Work with maintenance supervisor to insure a sufficient level of backup spares for all mechanical equipment.
• Utilize torches, welders and burning equipment.
• Maintain daily shift inspection and repair logs for review by supervision and other plant personnel.
• Minimal travel requirements as needed for training, etc., as determined by Supervision.
• Any and all other responsibilities as assigned by Supervision.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment, in the Maintenance department.

• Organization:

• Language:
  Must be able to speak fluent English.
• Mathematical abilities:
  Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to calculate percentages and add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals.
• Reading Ability:
  Advanced – ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations. Ability to present information to and respond from questions from groups of managers, customers, employees or the general public.
• Computer skills:
  Word – beginner level (memos, letters, formatting).
• Tools:
  Must be able to use power tools and measuring equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Take and pass Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test.

• Must be able to work rotating shift schedule and overtime.
