The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Project Managers with day to day operations of the company's projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Project Manager with reviewing daily electronic reporting of timecards, diaries, jobsite photos, quantities, production, safety observations & JHA’s.
- Assisting the Project Manager & Foreman with scheduling subcontractors and material deliveries.
- Submit RFI’s, RFP’s, T2’s and material certifications as necessary.
- Coordinate and submit weekly lane closure & permit requests as needed.
- Maintain the current working team, plans and specifications for jobs in Plan Grid.
- Assists the Project Manager with change order take off’s.
- Assists the Project Manager with maintaining DBE, WBE, SBE & CC3 paperwork as required.
- Assists the Project Manager with updating and maintaining monthly schedule & narrative updates as required.
- Assists the Project Manager with reviewing pay application quantities and subcontractor payments.
- Attend jobsite safety and progress meetings as required.
- Must uphold company values and have a positive and respectful attitude with employees, subcontractors & clients.
- Ability to read and understand project specific documents including, schedules, plans and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in heavy construction industry is preferred.
- Experience with electronic field reporting software is preferred.
- General knowledge with Microsoft Office, Heavy Bid, Heavy Job & P6 scheduling software is preferred.
