- Base Salary: $63,000 - $73,000

The incumbent assists with the preparation of comprehensive cost and labor estimates for plumbing, heating, process piping, and/or sheet metal trades for project bid proposals.
This PositionSome examples of the work you might do includes:
- Follows and redeems each element of the estimate plan.
- Identifies and reports take-off conditions/problems of drawing interpretation not defined in the plan.
- Complies with instructions listed on the specification sheets for assigned sheet metal and piping take-off.
- Recognizes and escalates take-off conditions that are not defined on the condensed specification sheet.
- Performs piping and sheet metal takeoff in accordance with standard estimating procedures.
- Reviews all take-off work shown on contract drawings, specified by description, required by government construction codes, and/or required construction standards.
- Prepares subcontract quantity surveys and pricing spreadsheets.
- Establishes and maintains open communication between key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that assigned work meets the requirements of the project bid documents and department operating procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of industry-specific experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
- Advanced organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to leverage communication/interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships.
- Aptitude for producing meaningful results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Maintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all times.

- This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
- Work duties may regularly necessitate walk-throughs of local job sites, during which the incumbent may utilize basic tools (measuring tape, screwdriver, wrench, etc.), and be intermittently exposed to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.
- In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, walk, hear, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
