An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Head Teacher at a specialist school that supports students aged 11-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As an Assistant Head Teacher, you will take on senior leadership responsibilities, including behaviour management and ensuring the quality of education, alongside a teaching commitment of approximately 40% of your workweek.

The school offers a personalised curriculum that includes academic subjects, vocational training, and life skills development. Facilities include sensory activity rooms, a library, science laboratories, and co-regulation spaces, creating a nurturing and adaptable environment for learning.

Lead, inspire, and motivate staff and students using a person-centred approach.

Contribute to the school's progress toward achieving an outstanding Ofsted rating by maintaining expertise in inspection requirements.

Promote creative and inclusive teaching strategies aligned with the National Curriculum.

Foster independence in students through tailored pathways, including college courses and work experiences.

Ensure compliance with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and Independent School Standards

Experience as an Assistant Head Teacher, ideally in a similar setting.

Strong leadership, management, and organisational skills.
