Job Summary

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components across various projects. You will contribute technical expertise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership
  • Provide advanced technical expertise in electrical design, systems integration, and engineering software/tools.
  • Review and develop technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Resolve complex engineering challenges and support project teams with technical guidance.
  • Project Execution
  • Manage assigned project tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Collaborate with other departments (mechanical, software, operations, etc.) and stakeholders to align project goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering standards, protocols, and procedures.
  • Recommend and implement best practices to optimize engineering performance.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and relevant technologies.
Qualifications and Experience

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with demonstrated expertise in technical project execution.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of electrical design, systems integration, and engineering software/tools.
  • Electronics design and development at component, circuit, and system level.
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and design.
  • Microcontroller-based design and development.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and supporting engineering talent.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Strategic thinking, hands-on approach, and a passion for engineering excellence.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Office Environment with occasional interaction in the production department
  • Domestic and International Travel up to 10%
