As part of Detection and Measurement, Aids to Navigation, including Flash, Sabik Marine and Sealite, are leading providers of lighting and navigational aids for the marine, obstruction, and airfield end markets.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage the electrical engineering team, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components across various projects.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) Leadership- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth.
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications. Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Contribute to departmental and organizational strategic planning, including budgeting and resource management.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure timely and cost‑effective completion of engineering projects.
- Coordinate with other departments (mechanical, software, operations, etc.) and stakeholders to align project goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement engineering standards, protocols, and procedures. Optimize engineering performance by contributing recommendations to strategic planning and implementing best practices.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and relevant technologies.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, systems integration, and engineering software/tools.
- Electronics design and development at component, circuit, and system level.
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and design.
- Microcontroller based design and development.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing engineering talent.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Strategic thinking, hands‑on approach, and a passion for engineering excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Hybrid Working Environment – 3 days onsite.
- Office Environment with occasional interaction in the production department.
- Domestic and International Travel up to 10%.
