Transportation Engineering Specialist

STV's Transportation group currently has an opening in our Franklin or Chattanooga, TN offices for a Transportation Engineering Specialist
. This person will primarily perform production of plans, specifications, quantity estimates and various studies and reports for road projects including but not limited to design projects for public agencies.

• Supporting interdisciplinary projects, document preparation and production
• Assisting with the design of roadway alignments and details, grading, drainage, traffic and other roadway infrastructure
• Interacting with client management teams, engineers, and marketing teams
• Design using Bentley Open Roads Designer

• BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering / EIT Certification is required
• 2 or more years of experience in transportation, highway and roadway design, or closely related engineering field.
• Proficient in Bentley Micro Station & Bentley Open Roads Designer
• Familiarity with TDOT Roadway Standards, Criteria, and Specifications
• Ability to support management and provide technical expertise in the following areas:
  • Roadway/highway design
  • Vertical and horizontal alignments
  • Pavement section design
  • Drainage system design
