ResponsibilitiesThe Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the corporate accounts payable team. Perform all aspects of accounts payable operations with moderate levels of complexity. Back up accounts payable manger as necessary. Ensure company payments and procedures are compliant with company policy.

- Oversees Accounts Payable team, including work assignments, training, workload evaluation, daily processing, and special projects.
- Administer AP automation software, ensuring that the software system is fully optimized and utilized by the AP team. Partner with VP of Procurement to update and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the system. Train end users and provide updates to users as needed.
- Assist in the review of vendor information for completion, accuracy, and appropriate tax classification. Enter new vendors as needed and/or update any existing vendor into accounting system.
- Assist with annual 1099 processing, investigates all discrepancies and inquiries to ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with IRS regulations.
- Assists with credit card and expense reimbursement program, policies and controls within our T&E system.
- Ensure that all tax and insurance reimbursements are paid timely and accurately to landlords or government entities.
- Ensure all vendor invoices are entered timely and accurately and have appropriate documentation and approvals.
- Provide assistance to internal Accounting team in analyzing monthly expenses and accruals.
- Assist in month-end and year-end processes.
- Monitors performance of direct reports, and provides feedback, encouragement, coaching, and correction as needed.
- Assist in implementing new systems, upgrades to existing systems by planning, coordinating and overseeing testing efforts of team, processes, procedures, controls and tools to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in transactional processing
- Enter all EFT payments in accounting system.
- Process all returned checks/ACH.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail.
- Monitor AP shared email boxes to ensure emails are processed timely and responded to appropriately.
- Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.
