Job Summary

Provides both short‑term and long‑term occupational therapy services to patients who have impairments, developmental disabilities, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes under occasional guidance. Actively collaborates with the health care/educational team to meet patient care, outcomes and system improvement objectives.

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our outpatient rehab team in Franklin, TN. This PRN occupational therapy role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population (burns, limb loss, and complex reconstructive surgeries) in a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized hand therapy services for patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on upper extremity function.
• Fabricate custom splints and support post‑surgical rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other rehab professionals.
• Document patient progress and outcomes using EMR systems.

What We're Looking For

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Tennessee
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred
• 2 years of hand therapy experience preferred
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations
• Strong communication and patient‑centered care skills
• Strong clinical skills in manual therapy, splinting, and post‑op rehab.
