The Role

We’re seeking a Head of Generative AI to lead our AI vision, strategy, and execution. In this high-impact leadership role, you’ll own the development of GenAI products from concept to production, act as a technical partner to product and executive teams, and build and scale our GenAI capabilities from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Define and own our GenAI strategy:
  Lead the roadmap for integrating generative AI across products and workflows, aligning with company goals and user needs
• Lead cross-functional execution:
  Partner with product, design, engineering, and executive leadership to prioritize, prototype, and launch GenAI-powered features
• Architect intelligent systems:
  Oversee the design and implementation of RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, document intelligence, and LLM orchestration
• Build and scale a team:
  Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of AI engineers and researchers as the GenAI function grows
• Drive experimentation at scale:
  Establish frameworks for rapid testing of models, prompts, and workflows to optimize for quality, cost, and speed
• Champion responsible AI:
  Ensure ethical use of generative technologies, establishing standards for model evaluation, data handling, and user trust
• Represent AI internally and externally:
  Be the internal thought leader on GenAI and a visible advocate for innovation across the organization

What You Bring

• 8–12+ years of experience in AI/ML or software engineering, with a strong focus on Generative AI, LLMs, and applied AI systems
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or head-of role, ideally in a high-growth startup or product-led environment
• Proven track record delivering production-grade GenAI systems—from prototypes to scaled deployment
• Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and agentic systems
• Hands-on experience with tools like Lang Chain, Llama Index, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
• Strong technical acumen across software engineering, model evaluation, and infrastructure (preferably AWS)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills—you know how to align stakeholders, drive execution, and inspire teams

Bonus Points For

• Experience building AI teams from scratch or scaling a GenAI function in an early-stage company
• Familiarity with intelligent document processing (IDP), OCR, or semantic document understanding
• Background in AI research, open-source contributions, or prior roles bridging product and applied research
• Passion for AI ethics, transparency, and responsible deployment of LLMs
