About

The Role

The Manager of HR Operations will strategically lead and optimize the human resources operational infrastructure, designing and managing efficient, compliant, and stakeholder‑focused HR processes and systems that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Optimize and ensure that the human capital management platform and all associated systems are leveraged appropriately to drive efficiency and employee and manager self‑service (ESS/MSS).
  • Create and maintain business processes within the HCM system, including condition rules, step delays, and completion steps.
  • Create and maintain integrations, including custom, cloud connect, and API integrations.
  • Create and maintain custom dashboards for HR team members, organizational leaders, field leaders, and employees.
  • Lead through implementations, stabilization, and maintenance of HR systems.
  • Develop internal operating procedures and controls for payroll and HCM management.
  • Manage a service center charged with maintaining the employment life cycle of an employee.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations, respond to and resolve payroll tax issues, and ensure correct tax rates are paid.
  • Oversee quarterly reconciliation and year‑end processing of payroll, including supplemental payrolls, W‑2s, and other required tax forms.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, initiating and leading projects that align payroll and HCM strategies with business objectives.
  • Communicate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, HR and other departments to review cross‑departmental impacts and reconcile data.
  • Manage data in accordance with the company's record retention policies and applicable laws.
  • Lead the day‑to‑day administrative operations of the HR function, including HRIS, Payroll, Benefits administration, Reporting, Time and Attendance, PTO, leave management and compliance.
  • Manage workforce data within a single source of truth and provide standard reports for analysis and improvement.
  • Maintain relationships with vendor partners and monitor service levels.
  • Drive technology adoption and compliance with employment laws, reviewing and modifying policies to maintain compliance.
  • Manage contracted services to ensure performance meets or exceeds contractual agreements.
  • Support initial platform deployment and future service enhancements through requirement capture, service and technology testing, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of relevant human resource management experience.
  • Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP certification is highly preferred.
Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Language Skills

Ability to understand, read, write, speak English, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the general public.
