At Southall
, we are looking for team members to help us as we continue our journey to inspire culinary consciousness – showcasing fresh, seasonal fare that highlights the path from seed to plate.
- Provide an immersive dining experience to our guests by highlighting our seed-to-table operation and being knowledgeable about menu offerings.
- Communicate guest orders—including any special needs or requests—to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point‑of‑sales system; coordinate food and beverage timings.
- Check completed kitchen orders against the guest’s original order and transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Read each table and adapt to the guest, creating a customized experience for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and building residents alike.
- Properly and accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit‑card payments, and properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
- Break down, clean, and set up tables and chairs.
- Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed.
- Restaurant hospitality experience.
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
- Food, wine, and liquor knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- High School Diploma.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
- Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions.
- TABC Certification.
