Position Summary

Westhaven Golf Club has full-time and part-time Dishwasher positions available. Flexible schedules are offered.

The dishwasher job involves cleaning and sanitizing kitchenware and equipment, emptying trash, and maintaining a clean work area. Key responsibilities include scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes into a dishwasher, hand-washing pots and delicate items, and putting away clean dishes and utensils. Dishwashers also perform other cleaning and sanitation tasks, and may assist with basic food preparation.

Essential Functions

• Washing and sanitizing:
  Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using a commercial dishwasher or by hand.
• Loading and unloading:
  Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the machine, and unload and put away clean items in their proper storage locations.
• Maintaining cleanliness:
  Keep kitchen floors swept and scrubbed, and ensure all equipment and work areas are clean and orderly.
• Waste disposal:
  Remove trash from bins and clean them as needed.
• Supply management:
  Maintain the correct amounts of detergents and rinse agents and report any issues with the dishwashing machine to a supervisor.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience working in a restaurant preferred.

Physical Demands

• Typical hospitality environment
• Frequently standing and walking during events and meetings
• Typically requires routine use of personal computer and general office equipment
• Some lifting up to 50 lbs.
