Prickly Pear Coffee Co. is an espresso bar in Nashville, Tennessee. Our goal is to combine the truth of the gospel with our passion for coffee. Across our two coffee shops and a coffee cart, we strive for everyone to feel loved whenever they encounter our delicious, handcrafted coffee drinks and friendly, welcoming staff.

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and the ability to create high-quality beverages while providing exceptional customer service. The barista will be responsible for crafting various beverages, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring customer satisfaction. They will play an important role in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our customers.

No experience is necessary, but you must be willing to learn! The pay varies on experience, shift, and location, but is always eligible for tips.

• Welcome customers and take their orders while providing a friendly and professional customer service experience
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks, following established recipes and brewing techniques
• Keep the work area clean and organized, including the coffee machine, grinder, and other equipment
• Stocking and rotating inventory of coffee beans, tea, syrups, and other supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized storefront, including clearing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and restocking utensils and condiments
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
• Learn and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
• Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and ability to prepare a variety of beverages, including espresso-based drinks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, and weekends
