Job Description
The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) leads and trains teams in performing all freight functions, including unloading, processing, stocking, and resets.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Provides customers a positive shopping experience
- Performs cashier duties accurately while processing all transactions per policy
- Maintains 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain) in receiving
- Leads team in performing all freight functions including stocking and resets, ensuring Specialists focus on their areas
- Unloads, processes, and stocks freight to correct locations following merchandising guidelines
- Completes incident reports timely and thoroughly
- Performs store recovery and housekeeping tasks during stocking efforts
- Trains team on freight processing and merchandising responsibilities
- Operates equipment safely according to procedures
- Ensures a safe shopping and working environment, minimizing shrink and damages
- Executes company policies, directives, and procedures accurately and promptly
Qualifications And Competencies
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, team lift 100 lbs
- Focus on customer service and creating a positive environment
- Clear communication with customers, team, and leadership
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Positive attitude, sense of urgency, timely execution
- Flexible with multitasking and shifting priorities
