Statement of Purpose

The primary responsibility of a National Account Manager is to establish contracts and orders for Tradesmen’s services within the various Verticals. National Account Managers customarily and regularly perform this primary responsibility in the field by meeting with high-ranking personnel (including C-level Executives), educating about the Tradesmen International Value Proposition, and managing national account portfolios. National Account Manager is responsible for locating and bringing in new business, as well as maintaining Client relationships that increase the usage of Tradesmen International’s services and workforce.

  • Generate and Drive Profitable Revenue
  • Maintain and exceed sales goals set by the Company
  • Generate sales leads and prospects for Clients
  • Make direct sales calls and presentations to Clients at their place of business
  • Educate prospects and Clients on the relationship between a highly skilled variable workforce and productivity and profitability
  • Register new Clients according to the business plan and educate the Client about the benefits and terms of doing business with Tradesmen
  • Establish a process whereby their clients pay Tradesmen within the payment terms of our contract
  • Attend trade‑related association and networking events; participate on association committees
  • Follow up with registered Clients to build relationships, create initial orders, and keep Clients actively using Tradesmen when our Field Employees are productive for them by regularly visiting the Client’s place of business such as corporate headquarters, key project sites, and/or regional offices
  • Build ongoing relationships with each Client’s senior management, office personnel, and jobsite superintendents by regularly visiting the Client’s place of business and by other means
  • Conduct follow‑up communication with Client after Field Employee dispatch to ensure Client satisfaction and quality control
  • Deliver periodic Employee evaluations to Client
  • Decide how to deal with Client issues and complaints in a proactive and professional manner with a sense of urgency
  • Develop a strategic account plan for each client and their portfolio
  • Maintain and update client information such as key contacts, business plan and strategy in Salesforce
  • Work collaboratively with Tradesmen Field Sales, Recruiting, Workforce Development and Corporate resources to achieve the desired business results
  • Inspire teamwork and accountability by developing collaborative relationships with Field Sales designed to drive profitable top‑line revenue
  • Close through logical steps by reinforcing the purchase decision in a multi‑phase sale by setting an objective for each stage, gaining agreement, and identifying customer verifiable outcomes
  • Negotiate Win‑Win solutions with clients
  • Possess strong communication skills and executive presence
  • Encourage additional sales by managing and transmitting information to support the sales process, attend required meetings, support the field, encourage Employee referrals, remain updated on procedures, participate in training activities, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Sales
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a National or Key Account Manager
  • Solid sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
  • BS degree in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field, or 5+ years of industry experience
  • Standard computer skills – experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, Outlook, or equivalents
  • Experience and success using CRM software is a plus
  • Expected travel up to 50%
