We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Demolition Equipment Operators to join our team. Operators will be classified into three levels—Class A, B, and C—based on experience and proficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing structural demolition projects, handling debris, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Class A Wrecker (3–5 Years Experience)- Perform all phases of structural demolition with precision and safety.
- Demolish high-rise, commercial, and residential buildings.
- Sort materials for landfill diversion and recycling.
- Identify and manage scrap grades; document materials removed.
- Demolish foundations and footings; perform shoring and site stabilization.
- Read and interpret blueprints, demolition plans, and site maps.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades.
- Maintain detailed records of work and materials.
- Train and mentor junior wreckers.
- Conduct pre-demolition site assessments and hazard identification.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Sort materials for landfill diversion and recycling.
- Manage scrap grades and report scrap handling.
- Load and segregate hazardous and non-hazardous demolition debris.
- Assist Lead Wrecker with equipment setup and breakdown.
- Perform basic site safety checks and report hazards.
- Maintain site cleanliness and organization.
- Operate light machinery under supervision.
- Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
- Operate and maintain equipment; perform daily inspections and minor repairs.
- Show initiative in learning demolition techniques and equipment.
- Support Class A and B Wreckers with material handling and site cleanup.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team efforts.
- Assist with tool and equipment inventory.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred for Class
A). - OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong understanding of demolition safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. regularly.
- Frequently standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, debris, and varying weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling tools.
- Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.
- Must have stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for long hours.
- Job locations can vary daily, weekly, or monthly based on current workload
- Job locations are generally located within a 50-mile radius of downtown Nashville
- Candidates must have reliable transportation to get to the job sites.
