Position Overview

Loenbro is looking for Journeyman Electricians in the Nashville, TN area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative‑taker, and who have experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team responsible for the installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.

Job Duties
  • Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
  • Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Accomplish operations and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Follow and perform other instructions and related duties as set forth by management.
  • Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one‑line drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
  • Work with and train apprentices on the job.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum Journeyman skill level experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
  • Must be dependable, work hard, and willing to put in the hours needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre‑employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Outside most of the time.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1‑50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
  • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day, standing.
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.
