Job Title: Transportation Cost Specialist
Pay Rate: $40-$43/hour (W2 – No Benefits)
Duration: 6 Months

, you’ll play a critical role in managing and improving transportation operations. You’ll analyze complex shipping data, optimize routes, collaborate with carriers, and recommend improvements that reduce costs while maintaining service quality. This is a highly visible role that requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Analyze shipping and transportation data to identify trends and cost drivers.
- Monitor carrier performance and prepare insights-driven reports to support management decisions.
- Identify cost-effective shipping methods and negotiate carrier contracts.
- Evaluate and manage transportation-related expenses, including fuel, storage, and accessorial charges.
- Plan and manage efficient transportation routes to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external carriers to improve route planning.
- Resolve disputes between customers and carriers related to delays, overcharges, or service issues.
- Act as a key problem-solver to maintain strong carrier and customer relationships.
- Ensure adherence to transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate records for invoices, contracts, and carrier documentation.
- Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes.
- Recommend and help implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Analytical Strength: Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
