We are looking for an HVAC Technician located in Franklin, VA to perform installs, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, furnaces, boilers, burners, fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, flat‑pack and split systems, and packaged units throughout the district.

• Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in the pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors and presses.
• Read mechanical prints, diagrams, and HVAC schematics.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong critical thinking and predictive maintenance skills; ability to find root causes of failure.
• Works positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work alone, with a partner, or as part of a team while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.
• Engages in preventative maintenance processes across facilities.
• Willingness to cross‑train and learn new technical skills.
• Proficient in computer systems for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• HVAC certification required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands listed above.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Capability to operate power tools and heavy equipment.
