Sr. Accountant

Vaco is seeking a Senior Accountant for a client of ours in Waukesha County. This is a contract-to-hire position onsite full-time.

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts. Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies, providing insights to management.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Reconcile account balances and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
• Process Management: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards like GAAP and assist with both internal and external audits. Help prepare tax returns.

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.

  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in ERP software (SAP) and Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
