What You'll Do

As a Human Resources Generalist, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, providing front‑line employee life cycle support to their designated site(s) and perform day‑to‑day HR operations, including employee onboarding, offboarding, leave management, and employee data management. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. The role will collaborate closely with HR Partners and HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to understand their specific needs and challenges, and provide support in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.

What

We're Looking For
  • Provide support and answer HR‑related questions from employees and managers.
  • Manage the employee exit process.
  • Assist with unemployment claims in the Case Builder system.
  • Serve as the point of contact for leave management and ADA accommodations.
  • Manage I9 files and conduct audits to ensure compliance, handle severance agreements and process employee changes in MyHR.
  • Participate in site‑specific events and encourage employee participation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and bullet board communications.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions and maintain the orientation program.
  • Participate in employee investigations as needed.
  • Participate in site leadership activities that support the workplace culture.
  • Build relationships with internal customers.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs, participate in the recruitment process, conduct interviews, and assist in onboarding.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to develop HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with COEs and HR Partners to develop effective employee communication strategies and materials.
  • Support HR partners in managing change initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Skills That Make a Difference
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with experience in human resources or related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, principles, processes and regulations.
  • Solid problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, effective communication.
  • Demonstrate behavior supporting Lubrizol’s values.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, HRIS).
Working Conditions
  • Primary work will be in an office environment but may require engagement with employees in a plant or R&D labs.
  • Must be willing/able to perform duties and responsibilities adhering to all required safety protocols.
  • Safely work independently and around others.
  • Travel approximately 5%‑10%.
